UPS APAC Customs Brokerage Operations Supervisor (Region Office) in Singapore, Singapore
The Brokerage Supervisor provides supports to all 13 Brokerage Operations sites in the APAC region. He/She reviews and discusses operations plans, monitors and communicates operation's performance, assists in reviews to meet customer needs, and maintains a close relationship with both operations sites and some customers.
EnsuresCompliance and Quality Process
Evaluatesquality performance to identify process improvements and increase qualitylevels.
Supportsidentifying areas around customs regulations and requirements to assist inmaking sure they are adhered to on a site during the entry filing process.
Monitorscompliance and liability reports to reduce cargo delays and costs associatedwith non-compliance of Customs Border Protection regulations.
Recommendsprocess improvement & solutions to develop quality standards to improvequality and work processes.
Evaluatesthe effectiveness of process improvements to recognize and reward topperformers.
Providesfeedback to external and internal customers to ensure awareness of servicequality
Oversees BrokerageException Reviews
Monitorsvarious reports to proactively resolve exceptions to ensure timely Customsrelease.
Assistin resolving Customs' problems in a timely manner to meet customers'expectations and avoid penalties.
Conductsreviews on sites corrective action plans where needed to provide guidance andsupport
Monitors Productivity andReports
Monitorsoperations reports to ensure productivity goals are achieved.
Reviews existing processes to identify inefficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.
Candidatemust possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
Minimum2 years of experience in similar capacity (Brokerage Operations) is requiredpreferably from the transportation/logistics/airline industry.
Possessrelevant Customs Brokerage Certification will be preferable.
Excellent interpersonalskills with the ability to communicate effectively and able to work well withpeople of all levels.
Exceptionalanalytical (conducting customer analysis to identify customer trends, standardresearch data), conceptual, and problem-solving abilities (well-versed inunderstanding supply chain concepts and propose recommendations).
Require demonstrated skills in MS OfficePrograms (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint).
