UPS Project Management Supervisor in Neuss, Germany

Cargo Insurance, ParcelPro ™ Select(PPS), Customized ® Declared Value (CDV), and UPS Proactive Response ® Secure (UPRS) are products that are currently offered. Additional team memberswill be required to further support expansion and growth. UPS Capital isseeking a Project Management Supervisor to be a key player in our strategicEuropean expansion.The ProjectManagement Supervisor is the central point of contact to connect businessstakeholders and required resources, based in Europe and the US.The primary objective is to ensure projectsare clearly defined, remain on schedule and are communicated appropriatelyacross the business. It will be expected that this person is able to work withcounterparts across regions and be comfortable presenting and reporting tosenior management in Europe and the US. The position will report to theDirector of Operations Europe, with dotted line reporting structure into ourProject Management Office (PMO) in Atlanta.

Within the function you will:

  • Identify project scopes with stakeholders and prepare project plans with business stakeholders

  • Manage timelines and deliverables for project teams, including stakeholders and resources

  • Work with stakeholders and resources to ensure tasks are understood and on plan

  • Provide regular updates/reporting as needed to PMO, management and stakeholders

  • Conduct and lead weekly Business Area Review (BAR) meetings

  • Prepare updates and represent UPS Capital Europe in Senior Staff Project Steering Committee meetings. Report back to the project teams and stakeholders on steering committee outcomes

  • Be flexible on participating in potential afterhours meetings in order to coordinate with international (primarily US based) colleagues

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in development and execution of project plans of short-to-medium duration(e.g., from 3-months to 1-year in duration, within a single business unit)

  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholders and dependencies that are not within the hierarchical remit

  • Preference to candidates who have exposure/experience working on international projects

  • Flexibility for travel within Europe, possibly to the US

  • Ability to work self-driven and independently

  • Good communication skills

  • Fluent in both English and German
